Welcome to Freshman Week 2020!
UL Lafayette looks forward to welcoming the Class of 2024 to campus for Freshman Week 2020! We are excited to have you here and are pleased to offer a variety of activities to make your first few days on campus fun, educational, and most importantly, welcoming! We will be offering a variety of on-campus and virtual programming August 13 through August 16.

Financial Aid
Financial Aid is now offering virtual appointments with Financial Aid Counselors for our students. You will need to login with your ULID to schedule your appointment. After clicking on the link, select the service you would like to book your day and time. You can email finaid@louisiana.edu with any questions or concerns. Please include your ULID in the email.
Cajun Card Services: UPDATED ON 8/13/2020
Taking your ID photo: MyPhoto online submission for Cajun Cards has been re-opened from now until 4:00 PM, Friday August 14th. Click here to get started: https://cajunphoto.louisiana.edu/. After 4:00 PM on Friday, August 14, all photos must be taken at the Cajun Card office located in the Student Union, Room 134. Questions regarding your Cajun Card ID should be directed to cajuncard@louisiana.edu.
Picking up your ID:
Reminder that you are required to wear a face covering while on campus and maintain proper social distancing.
Residential Students:
You must present another form of photo ID (high school student ID, drivers license, passport, Louisiana Wallet) to pick up your Cajun Card ID.
- If you have submitted an ID photo on the website above, your Cajun Card will be available for pickup at Housing Check-In.
- If you have not submitted an ID photo on the Cajun Card website, you will need to visit the Cajun Card office during regular business hours (see below) to obtain their ID card.
- You must have a Cajun Card ID to gain access to your residence hall. Students who do not submit a card prior to Housing Check-In will need to visit the Cajun Card office during regular business hours (see below) to obtain their ID card.
- Business hours beginning August 10: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM and Friday, 7:30 AM-12:30 PM
The Cajun Card office is located in the Student Union, room 134.
All Other Students:

- Last name begins A-C Monday, August 10: 7:30 AM-5:00 PM
- Last name begins D-J Tuesday, August 11: 7:30 AM-5:00 PM
- Last name begins K-Q Wednesday, August 12: 7:30 AM-5:00 PM
- Last name begins R-Z Thursday, August 13: 7:30 AM-5:00 PM
The Cajun Card office is located in the Student Union, room 134.
- If you are unable to pick up your Cajun Card ID on the day assigned above, please visit the Cajun Card office during regular business hours during the first week of classes (August 17-21): Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM and Friday, 7:30 AM-12:30 PM.
- Students who are unable to pick up their Cajun Card ID in person, need to contact the Cajun Card office by emailing cajuncard@louisiana.edu.
Parking for ID Pickup: From August 10-13, commuter parking for ID pick-up will be available in the Earl K. Long Gym Parking Lot (E5 on our campus map). Beginning August 17, students must park in their registered parking zone on campus or take the shuttle system to campus.
New Student Convocation
New Student Convocation marks your entrance into UL Lafayette and collegiate life. All first-year students are required to complete New Student Convocation. You will have access to the New Student Convocation program via Moodle starting Thursday, August 13 at 8:00 AM. You do not have to access the program on August 13, but it must be completed by Monday, August 31. If you have any questions regarding New Student Convocation, please email us at ofye@louisiana.edu.
Cajun Connection
Cajun Connection is a required part of UNIV 100 for all first-year students. You will have access to Cajun Connection via Moodle starting Thursday, August 13. You do not have to access the program on August 13, but all contents must be completed by Monday, August 31. Failure to complete Cajun Connection via Moodle will result in a deduction of a letter grade in UNIV 100. Questions or concerns regarding Cajun Connection can be sent to ofye@louisiana.edu.
Parking for Freshman Week
Commuting students can park at EK Long (Zone 15), located across from the Alumni Center and Girard Park, for Freshman Week events being held in-person Thursday, August 13 through Sunday, August 16. Residential students should park in their assigned parking zone.
