UNIV 100 Showcase for Students
Showcasing Student Projects from the First-Year Seminar!
At the conclusion of each Fall semester, participating UNIV 100 sections submit student projects for an annual UNIV 100 Showcase. The UNIV 100 Showcase was implemented to display the best student work from our first-year seminar. Ask your UNIV 100 instructor if your class will be participating. Edith Garland Dupré Library will display the Showcase projects at a designated time (TBD). The super fun OFYE Awards Ceremony is also held in the Library (date TBD).
As a student, you will have the opportunity to nominate your favorite UNIV 100 Instructor for UNIV 100 Instructor of the Year. This award goes to the Instructor that really made a positive impact on you for the semester. It is a way for you to thank that Instructor. At the OFYE Awards Ceremony, this Instructor will receive their honor. Peer Mentor of the Year will receive their award for their contribution to your courses. The Showcase winners will receive their ribbons and the acknowledgement of exemplary work on their project.
UNIV 100 Showcase entries are judged in the following categories:
- Creative / Arts
- Creative Written Work
- Humanities / Social Science
- Leadership / Service
- Research Papers
- Science / Technical
- Best in Show
