Cajun Connection

On Thursday, August 20th and Friday, August 21st, all first-year students will attend UNIV 100 class from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.

These two class days will include important informational sessions on “UL Lafayette 101,” “Learning Strategies,” and “Getting It Done!” as well as fun-filled activities such as a campus  Scavenger Hunt, a Health and Wellness Fair, and panel discussions on such topics as “What to Expect in the First Year” and “10 Things Every Freshmen Should Know.” These two class days will be followed (each evening, as well as Saturday and Sunday) by an amazing array of fun educational, athletic, and co-curricular events.

While attending class Thursday and Friday is mandatory, all other events are optional – but you won’t want to miss them! Activities will include a pool party and BBQ, women’s soccer matches, comedy, an ice cream party, food truck round-up, movies, and much more! We’ll also have important workshops such as how to keep your TOPS funding and how to stay healthy and stress-free!
